First there was paywithatweet.com, now Chirpify, which already enabled social commerce on Twitter and Instagram, has expanded to Facebook, enabling people to purchase goods on the social network just by commenting. The platform lets users make payments or donations with one comment in the news feed.

You must have a Chirpify account to purchase an item, so there is no danger in buying something unaware. Members can buy, donate, or enter a giveaway on Facebook simply by commenting to a listing with “buy,” “donate” or “gimme.” This triggers an automatic payment, and Chirpify sends a secure download or receipt via email. All transactions and data are stored in the Chirpify dashboard.

Businesses, non-profits and consumers can buy, sell, donate and raise funds directly in the news feed without leaving Facebook, turning comments into immediate in-stream payments and transactions. There is no filling out credit card information or leaving Facebook, just a simple comment.

Chirpify announced that launch partners Adidas, the Portland Trailblazers, Major League Soccer’s Portland Timbers, bands Owl City and Neon Trees, record label Victory Records and others are now using the platform for in-stream commerce on Facebook.
